Simplifying Vehicle Maintenance

Overview

CarAdvise is a responsive web application that simplifies vehicle maintenance for both individual users and fleet owners. Designed to streamline the vehicle service process, the platform offers an intuitive experience that bridges the gap between users and service providers, improving efficiency and clarity for all stakeholders.

Objective

Redesign the consumer focused experience for the platform, while planning for the implications of expansion into small fleet management.

My Role

Lead UX/UI Designer & Researcher
  • Conducted user interviews with customers and stakeholders to identify key pain points and requirements.
  • Developed user personas and usage scenarios to guide design decisions.
  • Created a functional prototype for early testing and validation of the user journey.
  • Collaborated closely with CarAdvise’s in-house support team to align design with operational needs.

Methods

  • User Research & Personas: Built user profiles and scenarios to ensure the design aligned with real-world behaviors and expectations.
  • Prototype Development: Designed an interactive prototype to visualize the user journey and test early concepts.
  • Hands-On Testing: Used the CarAdvise platform personally to experience its service firsthand and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration with In-House Teams: Worked closely with support staff to ensure the application addressed both customer and operational needs.
